 Dr Dan McKennaBDS(QUBelf),FDS RCS(Ed), MGDSRCSI MFGDP(UK), FFGDP(Eng), FICD, DipImplantDent RCS(Eng),FADFE GDC No: 46075 I started by attending Trinity College Dublin before moving on to study at Queens University Belfast. Once graduated, I continued specialist training at the school of dentistry in Belfast. I gained my Fellowship with further studies at The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and became a specialist in Oral Surgery. I then received my diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal college of Surgeon's of England set up by Dr Ashok Sethi, which I found to be most interesting. It gave me good foundations for future teaching and was accepted by the General Dental Council. My colleague of Fort William and I run a yearly course in Belfast and Londonderry for Ankylos users. I also mentor in Nobelbiocare courses. Our course teaching includes training with manikins and animal jaws. It then proceeds to the attendees own patients having implant surgery and completion of prosthetic work within the year. I've been intrigued by the All-on-4 system taught by Dr Palo Malo in Portugal and the Zygomatic implants for the severely resorbed maxilla, taught by Professor Malevez in Belgium.
